My name is Katy and I'm a jet-set wannabe.

I've done my fair share of traveling in the past, but I've recently found myself on a graduate student level of broke, and, consequently, void of worldly travels. Still, despite my sad little pocketbook, I'm constantly on the hunt for new haunts and decided to blog about my Dallas-area discoveries.

I'm currently finishing up my last year of grad school in the DFdubya, and I'm about to celebrate my quarter-of-a-century birthday this fall. Hopefully, this means my travel radius will be expanding, but until then, I'll use this diary of sorts to share my thoughts on local restaurants, bars, events, shows, theatres, shopping, et cetera et cetera.

I'm always open to hearing recommendations of places to go and things to see in the area, so feel free to share!
